About The Market Log

The Market Log organizes public SEC ownership disclosures into company histories, reporting-owner timelines, and readable transaction details.

A clearer view of public disclosures

The Market Log is an independent information service for exploring insider acquisitions reported to the SEC. We organize public filing data so you can move from a company to a reporting owner, a transaction, and its original source.

Context before conclusions

A stock award is different from a purchase. A joint filing is different from an individual's allocated holdings. A filing date is different from a transaction date. We preserve these distinctions throughout the site.

Current scope

This is an early version with ongoing historical collection. Coverage and policies are still being reviewed. We do not sell securities, accept trades, or provide personalized investment recommendations.

How this site is produced

The Market Log publishes the explanatory material and automatically builds transaction pages, tables, and summaries from stored public filing records. These pages are organized data views, not independently reported news or personal profiles. Every transaction links to its source filing. Corrections and amendments can change what appears, and our coverage notes describe the limits of the loaded records.
